THE MOURNING STAR, the debut album of Damian Killmore, is in the works and is set to be released this Fall.
The album will include just 7 tracks, barely classifying it as an album, rather than an EP. This is to keep things "straight to the point" and to avoid including any filler tracks, ensuring each track serves its purpose in telling the story of the album.
THE MOURNING STAR will have production credits from Damian Killmore, Elijah Nero (FLAMES), as well as RJ "Big Cheese" Wise, whom passed away last year at the young age of 22.
Damian Killmore has officially dedicated the album to his late Uncle Glen, known professionally as Ladonna Monroe, a former drag queen based out of San Diego, California.
However, Damian credits inspiration to many of his loved ones who recently passed just from 2025-2026. Damian explains that losing so many people in such a short amount of time has created this persona he calls The Mourning Star, hints where the album gets its name.
The title is a play on words from the usual spelling, The Morning Star, in which the Bible refers to both Jesus and Lucifer. With themes of loss throughout the album, as well as the blurring of the line between GOOD & EVIL, without a doubt, the perfect name for the project is inevitably THE MOURNING STAR.
A single is expected to be released before the album arrives on streaming and CD this Fall.
